Entropia Universe Version Updates

This archive preserves the complete history of Entropia Universe Version Updates, documenting the technical evolution of the platform and the development of its virtual worlds. Each update represents a snapshot in the ongoing transformation of the universe, from early system foundations and gameplay mechanics to major graphical upgrades, planetary expansions, and platform milestones.

The release notes collected here provide insight into how the real-cash economy virtual universe has evolved over time — including engine transitions, interface redesigns, new systems, balance adjustments, and community-driven improvements. Together they form a chronological technical record of the changes that shaped Entropia Universe from its early years to the modern era.

Some Version Update release notes are currently missing or temporarily unavailable due to the migration from PlanetCalypsoForum to the new Entropia Forum. PlanetCalypsoForum historically served as a primary archival source for Entropia Universe VU documentation, and some older or recent VU posts may not have migrated cleanly or may still be unavailable while the forum transition settles.

  • The ComPet Deed trader on Planet Arkadia has been removed.
  • Updated graphics for Shrapnel.
  • There is now a “Detach all enhancers” action for items with attached enhancers.
  • Resource deeds and the resource finder interface no longer display “Unknown Resource”.
  • Fixed many client crash issues, including many caused by various user interfaces (missions, chat windows, vehicles, inventory, action library and more).

Known Issues
  • The FENTropia Gold (F) and FENtropia Platinum (F) Jackets have misaligned textures.
  • The Argonaut Claw FEN Edition items are missing sound and impact animation.

Changes
  • It is now easier to drag & drop enhancers into the Item Info user interface
  • The cooldown timer for inserting enhancers into items has been shortened.
  • Various improvements to the new map waypoint feature, including: smart selection of valid locations, maximum text length, mistyping correction, renaming waypoints, changed logging in chat to waypoint-links and restrictions to only allow valid locations.

Fixed Issues
  • The map interface now correctly retains zoom level when adding a waypoint.
  • Removed auto created waypoint on death but instead creates a clickable waypoint link in system chat with information of your death.

Known Issues
  • Bat Sim has been disabled, will be enabled at a later time
  • We are still working on the "This loot is claimed by someone else" issue

  • Removed the FEN Token trader in Howling mines

  • When attempting to heal another avatar with full health, it once again says "That person isn't wounded"
  • Tame Animal action is now back in the action library
  • Reduced the hit splash effect for the CalyTrek and Armatrix series weapons
  • FEN Tokens can now be placed on the auction.
  • Corrected the deterioration on the Modified and Adjusted Fast Aid Pack FEN Editions. The (L) versions have been added back to the FEN Token Vendor.
  • Added MediStim FEN Edition to the FEN Token Trader.

  • Compet deeds can now be exchanged for Arkadia Moon deeds through a hand in mission in Celeste Harbour, just seek the Compet Deed Exchange NPC at 29820, 10165
  • It is now possible to get your name on a shared creature global if killed solo
  • Halloween skeleton clothes are now listed in the auction correctly
  • It is now only possible to drop items in your own estates
  • The healing over time effect now displays correctly as green when health points are gained
  • It is now possible to see a marker where you last died in the map user interface
  • Changed Nanocube type, so that it's in Materials inventory tab instead of Mined Resources

  • It is no longer possible to use consumables in space when ejected from ship

Changes
  • The fee incurred when landing a spaceship on a planet has been removed. This change is intended to encourage more trade between planets and personal space travel in general.
  • Added a safe zone around the new Arkadia Moon.
  • Entering space from Planet Arkadia once again places the spaceship in a safe zone.

Known Issues
  • Approaching too close to the Arkadia Moon in a mothership can result in being unable to reenter the mothership after exiting. Contact support if your mothership becomes unreachable.
