This archive preserves the complete history of Entropia Universe Version Updates, documenting the technical evolution of the platform and the development of its virtual worlds. Each update represents a snapshot in the ongoing transformation of the universe, from early system foundations and gameplay mechanics to major graphical upgrades, planetary expansions, and platform milestones.

The release notes collected here provide insight into how the real-cash economy virtual universe has evolved over time — including engine transitions, interface redesigns, new systems, balance adjustments, and community-driven improvements. Together they form a chronological technical record of the changes that shaped Entropia Universe from its early years to the modern era.

Some Version Update release notes are currently missing or temporarily unavailable due to the migration from PlanetCalypsoForum to the new Entropia Forum. New Features

  • A new Umbranoid mutant outpost has been reported to the west of Nymphtown, colonists are advised to approach with caution.

  • All players can claim their own instanced apartment by talking to Lt Dan in Port Atlantis. These serve as a basic apartment for all players. It is only possible to use the lowest level cooking terminal inside, and crafting terminals are not possible to use.

  • The increased fishing activity has disturbed the local ecosystem, drawing the attention of nearby wildlife. While reeling in a catch, fishers may now occasionally encounter creatures attracted by the commotion.

    • Fishermen and sailors report sightings of an undocumented creature in the ocean’s depths. Once dismissed as superstition, recent encounters suggest otherwise.

    • In response to rising maritime threats, engineers have developed a new line of specialized weapons designed exclusively for naval use.

  • Added new increased tier-rate attachments for weapons and mining tools, speak with NPCs at the Umbranoid enclave

  • New Chain Lightning MF chips have been added

  • The complete set of SolSec Armour is now obtainable

  • Restored some incorrectly deprecated blueprints, these include: Spectre, Ghost, Predator/Predator SGA armor BPs; Bull Tac60/Tac80; Vivo Oxy1000; Xlite-W Screen; Cbase/Thermodure plastic textures; Rocktropia monster truck/wheel/chainsaw BPs.

  • Improved navigation for Synths

  • Lowered the attack values of the Hyperium-Infused Spina bosses. Also lowered the health/regen of the most difficult one

  • The item info UI now displays each item’s discoverer and discovery date, preserving their achievement for eternal glory. For older items, this information may be missing, as historical discovery data is unfortunately not available from the earliest days.
  • Two new Fishing Boats have been added to the game! Their blueprints can be discovered from Vehicle crafting.

  • Setesh creature loot has been changed to include more gear and other items
  • The Empty Enhancer Component was removed from the enhancer blueprints to create a more balanced input/output value ratio
  • Empty Enhancer Components have been removed from Trade Terminals
  • Tailings Refinement now always require only 1 Recycling Scrip, regardless of the amount of Tailings refined
  • Rebalanced the Tailings Refinements:
  • Overall material returns have been increased
  • Overall tailings returns have been reduced
  • Overall ammo returns have been reduced
  • Explosive Projectiles have replaced some instances where Universal Ammo would be returned

ARIS

New Features


  • Hyperion is celebrating the first anniversary of the ARIS initiative! Visit the celebration corner in Ironhaven to claim your gifts. Once you have the gift missions, they will not expire, but you will only be able to start them during the celebration period. Bonnie will be staying in Ironhaven so they can be turned in whenever they are done
  • A new type of MindForce support chip, the "Lure," has been introduced as part of an experimental collaboration with MindArk to enhance team roles. Initially exclusive to ARIS, expansion to other planets will depend on community feedback. Please share your thoughts on the forum when it is back online.
  • Several new inhabitants have moved into Ironhaven.
  • Energy Matter mining has been revamped, featuring three new ARIS-specific resources.
  • A fishing camp featuring a communal campfire has been added.
  • A new growable plant is now available for the plot system. NOTE: There are actually 2 new in the game, but one of them will not be obtainable until the next update
  • The mysterious Altar has been completely rebuilt to function as originally intended. It will be activated tomorrow, the 13th of May at 13:00 CET, to give everyone a fair chance to join. NOTE: There may be balancing changes in upcoming releases depending on how it plays out.
  • Added the Personal Pharmatron 103/106/109/120
  • Hyperion’s new "Hyperion Enterprises Applied Mindforce and Psionic Warfare Division," led by Dr. Vera Santis is establishing operations in Ironhaven and may need some assistance.

Changes
  • Attacks that get Deflected are now handled like Evades when it comes to the deterioration and loot input/output
  • Entering the Umbranoid Scavenger event areas will now notify players if they lack the buff required to participate in the events
  • New Umbranoid mission is available from Krille Mosson at Limnadian District
  • The mission “Shippin’ and Dippin’” now requires proper participation in the boss event to complete

Pets
  • Pet volume slider in options for your pets
  • Pet volume slider in options for other peoples pets
  • Pet volume reduced to 50% as default

Fixes
  • Fixed the avatar animation issues
  • RDI Lahar - Doors between revive terminal and boss room now also unlock after players have won the encounter
  • Fixed an issue in the Umbranoid Scavengers events that could result in the “Deflection Buff” not being removed from creatures spawning in the area
  • Fixed an issue where completing or failing the hard Umbranoid Scavengers event would remove the “Umbranoid Crasher” buff from players in the lower level event
  • SolSec Cobalt Guardian Helmet (M/F,L) now both have the same 1% reload speed buff.
  • Vanguard Casque helmets now all have the 1% critical hit chance buff.
  • Attached Mining Laser BPs added back to Space Mining Terminal
  • Fixed several mining lasers that couldn’t use the new attachments
  • Note: Basic Mining Lasers (both attached and mounted) cannot use attachments by design
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from entering vehicles that had mining lasers with the new attachments on them
  • Hall of fame window resize handle is more prominent
