RESETTLEMENT UPDATE

A new scientific breakthrough has been made: a safe, practical tool for extracting the life essence known as “Vibrant Sweat”. By emitting a low-energy field for harvesting the essence, the tool focuses vibrant sweat and encodes it into a suspension fluid. Vibrant Sweat can then be refined together with Force Nexus to produce Mind Essence.

To operate the VSE Mk 1, move within 30 meters from the target, aim carefully and pull the trigger. Keep the tool aimed at the target until the sample is collected.

Note that the VSE works only on animals and not on mutants, robots or other colonists.

NEW AND RETURNED FUNCTIONALITY

* Teaming is back! Again you can go hunting with your friends and share both the fun and the loot with them.
* Sweating is back! And this time, it’s point and click – no more concentration, just pick up your new handy tool VSE Mk 1, aim it and start sweating! This tool is a gift to all players, old and new, for gathering sweat. The VSE Mk 1 is free for everyone and does not decay.
* Mouse-only navigation is back! Want to go there? Just double-click there. You can also press and hold both left and right mouse-button to move forward. And no, we have not turned off the old FPS style – aim and shoot is still there. If you lost it, it’s under Options-Controls-Enable Aim Mode.
* Auto navigation is back! This includes following another avatar, run to creature and shoot when within range, and run to creature and loot when in range.
* Mouse buttons can be mapped! Actions can now be assigned to mouse buttons 3-8, using the Keyboard Map GUI. The mouse button map is to the right just below the Keyboard Map GUI. You can’t map mouse buttons 1 and 2 (left and right mouse buttons); they are locked.
* Live audio streaming is back on Club Neverdie! Bop till you drop!

RESETTLEMENT UPDATE

Imperial Zoological Scouts have observed several flying and hovering creatures, including Aetherex, Hiryuu, Kingfisher, TskTsk, Diripi, Igni and Pupugi in the skies over Calypso, as well as Rippersnappers in the water.

The mall in New Oxford has been demolished. The building, a relic from the old colonization phase, was condemned after it was discovered that it had structural damage from the blast of Typhon’s impact. After it being infested by Calypsian concrete worm, Colonial Administration saw no other choice than to tear down the building.

RETURNED FUNCTIONALITY

  • Apartments are back
  • Televators are back
  • Estate maintenance fee expiration time is extended to compensate for the time when apartments were not available

  • When using Auto Mode for crafting, the automatic idle log out is disabled

RESETTLEMENT UPDATE

It is now a month and a half since Calypso opened for resettlement. During this time, teleportation have been restricted to the use of large-scale fixed teleporters because the heavy neutrino radiation from the drive core of War Titan Typhon induced a great risk for teleporter misrelocations. The fixed teleporters are adequately shielded to compensate for this; MindForce TP chips are not.

RDI have monitored the neutrino radiation, and deemed that the level has decreased enough for MindForce TP to be safe. Based on this recommendation, Colonial Administration has decided to enable this service again, effective immediately.

Despite several sabotage attempts against the Oil Rig, and thanks to the brave colonists defending it from the Wastelanders last week, the Imperial Mining Office crews have finally completed and tested the Oil Rig. It is back online again and producing oil!

REINTRODUCED SYSTEMS INSTRUCTIONS

Simplified MindForce TP

A brief manual of how to use Simplified MindForce Teleportation:
  1. Equip MindForce Teleporter chip (right click on item in inventory and select equip).
  2. Use tool. You need Mind Essence to do it.
  3. After a delay for charging, the map UI opens.
  4. Select a position within the teleport area (shown as a circle around the player).
    ?If selecting a location from the location list (i.e. a city), the position is automatically set to the position within the teleport area closest to the location.
    ?If selecting a home and teleport to home is enabled by the chip, the position will be set to the terminal outside the home, even if outside the teleport area.
    ?The selected position needs to be on the same planet.?
  5. 5.Click the teleport button.

Skill Extraction

How to extract skills:
  1. Attach an empty skill implant to the implant tool (drag and drop the chip on the tool).
  2. Equip the implant tool.
  3. Use the implant tool. The skill UI opens.
  4. Select a skill to be extracted.
  5. Click the Extract Skill icon.
  6. Choose the extracted amount in the window that just opened.
  7. The Loot window opens with a new chip containing the extracted amount.
The value of the empty chip is adjusted accordingly.


How to implant skills:
  1. Attach a skill implant with a specific skill to the implant tool (drag and drop the chip on the tool).
  2. Equip the implant tool.
  3. Use the implant tool.
  4. A confirmation window will open. Click Yes to insert the skill.
  5. The skill is inserted.

RESETTLEMENT UPDATE

Surveyors from Imperial Mining Office have located survivors from the Great Winter, colonists that for one reason or another had not been evacuated before the impact of War Titan Typhon. The survivors are a band of individuals that have scrounged resources to survive during our five year long absence. The band, settled near the Oil Rig and in the contested and contaminated zones did not rejoice at the reunion and used force to drive the surveyors off.

Calypso Law Enforcement Administration speculates that these wastelanders may be the bandits that have scourged the area around the Oil Rig in the recent past.

Surveyors were also surprised to find a streak in the desert near the oil rig that the wildlife seemed to avoid. On further analysis, it was due to the presence of toxic and radioactive substances in the sand. These had apparently been placed there on purpose to drive off dangerous creatures from the area. The perpetrator has not been identified, and although IMO admits that these streaks are practical for them, they deny any knowledge and blame the wastelanders, claiming that they probably want a clear path to the rig in order to raid it.

Imperial Zoological Scouts report that Foul have suddenly changed appearance. The phenomenon seems to be related to the Atrox' change of appearance, and scientists are moving away from the hypothesis that it was an adaptation during the Great Winter. Scientists are not ready to give an alternative explanation as yet.
