This archive preserves the complete history of Entropia Universe Version Updates, documenting the technical evolution of the platform and the development of its virtual worlds. Each update represents a snapshot in the ongoing transformation of the universe, from early system foundations and gameplay mechanics to major graphical upgrades, planetary expansions, and platform milestones.

The release notes collected here provide insight into how the real-cash economy virtual universe has evolved over time — including engine transitions, interface redesigns, new systems, balance adjustments, and community-driven improvements. Together they form a chronological technical record of the changes that shaped Entropia Universe from its early years to the modern era.

Some Version Update release notes are currently missing or temporarily unavailable due to the migration from PlanetCalypsoForum to the new Entropia Forum.   • New fonts:
    Supports Bold and Italics in all languages

    Zoom and rotation functionality added to the character sheet avatar view

Changes
  • The items from the Frontier Starter Packs can now be sold at a Trade Terminal
  • The NeoPsion Booster Implant, Prototype is now tradeable

Fixes
  • Running animations have been adjusted further, and matches the higher running speeds better now
  • Fixed a bug with the Frontier Knives that allowed non-melee attachments to be used with them
  • Fixed a bug with the Frontier Harnesses that prevented you from using cloaks, wings, backpacks, etc. together with them
  • Character Sheet:
    Armor masks now appear in the head slot
    Garment list is now sorted alphabetically
    The missing character sheet action icon is now visible

Known Issues
  • There is a known animation bug with the player character arms when jumping or falling, where a held weapon/tool will be jerk to the side and bac
  • Typing in chat can sometimes turn characters into boxes - toggling bold fonts in chat settings can resolve this but a fix is being worked on.

New Features
  • It is now possible to travel between the following planets directly at a cost of 15 Teleporter Tokens. To travel from a Planet to another location, you must use the planets’ main landing teleporter (i.e. Port Atlantis Mall). You can also travel from the following planets to any space station. Other planets will be added in a future patch.

  • Crystal Palace

Fixes
  • The Male Player Character running animations have been reverted to the earlier version
  • Fall damage scaling has been adjusted
  • Shorter falls will now deal much less damage
  • Agility now increases the distance you can fall without taking damage. However, it does not extend the maximum height you can fall before taking lethal damage
  • Summer Strongbox item name should now be correct

Known Issues
  • Bold fonts - bold font are still missing in the language update, this will be patched shortly
  • Attempting to use Planet to Planet teleportation to Rocktropia is not currently working as expected
  • It is not possible to enter Ancient Greece from Next Island teleporters. We are urgently working to resolve this issue

New Features

New Items

  • Various new items and MindForce chips have been created

Character Sheet
  • Access the “Character Sheet” at the bottom right of the inventory user interface or keybind. This is the initial iteration and more functionality is being worked on.

Map Improvement
  • The map can now zoom in two additional levels
  • The map now shows the location of players in your team

Game Localization
  • We now support 49 new languages in the Entropia Universe Interface.

Changes
  • Font Update: Implemented new, streamlined font to support all languages and keep a cohesive interface.
  • Popup Message Redesign: Revised the design of red popup messages to improve readability and alignment with the updated fonts and languages.
  • Language Selection Enhancement: Added language selection to the Clientloader as a dropdown menu, allowing users to choose their preferred language before launch.

Space Changes
  • High level M-Type asteroids have been added to Howling Mine PvP area
  • Space station to space station teleportation cost has been lowered from 15 PED to 10 PED
  • Bronze, Silver, Gold and Redulite Mayhem Cosmetic Tokens have been added to Mayhem Assault

Movement Update: Various base values for movement have been altered to make movement feel more fluid and responsive. Some notable changes are:
  • Base movement speed has been increased
  • Agility scaling has been slightly altered, the max move speed bonus is still the same, but earlier levels of Agility will increase move speed more than before
  • Falling damage now deals %-based damage
  • Jumping is a lot quicker

Camera Update:
  • There have been several QoL updates to the camera to make it feel smoother. The Max Camera Distance has also been increased.

Known Issues
  • Installer: Our installer does not yet support non-ASCII characters inside the filepath, meaning if you try to install Entropia Universe inside a folder in for example, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Thai or other special unicode characters the installation will not start properly.
  • Some languages does not support bold or cursive fonts
  • Normal fonts have been added in their places when the specific language is selected
  • Chat cannot activate bold fonts when an unsupported language is chosen at startup
  • Some texts in some languages might have minor text cutoff


ARIS

New features

  • Daily mining and construction missions given by McGrangus

Changes
  • The Ironhaven Island has been overhauled a bit, with new lower levels of the Weak, Defective, and Faint creatures
  • Droktimus Prime instance difficulty has been lowered to give more players a chance to fight it
  • There is now an outpost with a teleport on the south tip of the Ironhaven island
  • The island to the southwest of the main volcano has been moved to another server area. There is a single intended way to get there, but having it on the same server area as everything else lead to too many exploits, bugs, and otherwise unintended ways to get there.
  • Changed requirements for the AI missions to make them less time-consuming
  • Lower spawn density around the Oblivitron instance entrance
  • The path to the S9 Vault event area was made a bit safer
  • Autoloot is enabled in the Vesuvor and Cinderak instances


Fixes
  • Mindforce teleportation is now fully blocked on the whole planet
  • Vehicles are now correctly blocked in the daily robot instances
  • Robots should no longer spawn under the floor in the Droktimus Prime instance
  • The water volume near the Primonaut camp on the center island is now correctly reaching the bottom of the pond


Known Issues
  • The sound is still not behaving, and requires in-depth investigation into the engine


Next Island

Changes

  • Several Next Island estates that were only intended to be apartments have been reverted
  • The Next Island Halo has been corrected to remove the buff, which had previously been noted as incorrect.

  • Moved the mushroom instance areas out into the world on ARIS. After evaluating it, it is preferred to keep regular hunting in the world, and use instances for content that requires more gameplay features. The way to access it is still the same, though.
  • Added the ARIS Outposts and Dropforts to the map
  • Instant loot in Verdathos cave, just like the other daily instances

  • Fixed issues with the payment provider Checkout, where payments could sometimes fail without a valid reason
  • Confirmation box for interacting with the rubble in Scorchrift Cavern

Changes

  • The instance cooldowns on ARIS are now triggered when the boss dies and when leaving the instance voluntarily. This is to make it possible to retry in case the client crashes or there is a disconnect for other reasons
  • Increased light in cave instances
  • Reduced range of turrets
  • Increased size of the Weak creatures

Fixes

  • Fixed DPP irregularities on the Hyperion Aurora and Obscura weapon series
  • Replaced the TT-weapons in the loot with their “Improved” versions
  • Decreased the thresholds for what counts as hofs/globals for the Weak, Defective, and Faint creatures
  • Replaced all the destructible objects with interactive terminals in the daily instances
  • Dead Central Processor is now refinable
  • Fixed progress bars for daily hunting missions
  • Clarified that the armor upgrade requires 10x Catalysts, and that it will return the excess value in Nanocubes, in the item info for the different Hyperion Armor pieces
  • You cannot teleport using Mindforce chips to the edge of the server anymore

  • Balanced the the Codex rewards for ARIS mobs correctly according to the formula used for the rest of the Universe
  • Fixed the Codex entry for Fieroids which did not get any progress
  • Changed several areas where mobs would spawn inside and/or under things, or fall down and get stuck in holes
  • Removed Shared flag from another spawn that was never intended to be shared
  • Changed damage types of the Turrets to be in line with other robots on ARIS
  • Set the correct ammo type for Aurora Plasma Pistols
  • Added text clarifying that you will get all the excess value from merging the two Hyperion armor pieces back as Nanocubes
  • Increased the variety in loot for Weak, Faint, and Defective creatures

Fixes

  • Fixed issues with the new component blueprints dropping in the construction process. They are now available in the Daily Voucher terminal
  • Fixed an issue where the Spina Broodmother daily could be triggered in instances on ARIS
  • Corrected the stats of the TT guns to be in line with the rest of the TT guns in the universe. This was necessary to not upset the balance of starter content and starter packs. ARIS will get creatures for this level in an update in the near future as well
  • Added ARIS to the space map
  • Tweaked some spawns, including removing the “Shared”-flag from a couple of spawns where it was not intended
  • Fixed several cases where the “no vehicle”-zone would be triggered incorrectly
  • Smoothed the terrain around the big volcano to reduce the risk of creatures and players getting stuck
  • Reduced the size of the S9-WARDEN event area
  • Delayed the spawn of the turrets in the Elevex Station instance to stop them from firing through the door into the elevator
  • Increased the speed of Weak- Faint- and Defective mobs
  • Reworked the area outside of the Nex-Comm Vault. The robots had a tendency to fall into the ravine and get stuck there

  • Sound is not working correctly on ARIS
  • Destructibles are sometimes missing in instances.
