Time to share the story of my Largest Silent ATH I've ever had. It was a Hall of Fame, but the item I looted did not register an All-Time High since, at that time, Rare items did not have a spot on the HoF board yet. 2007 was the greatest time for me because it was at the height of hunting and creating events. This story is about the one very special hunting trip I had gone on that changed Entropia for me. A fellow society member from Global Alliance Guard joined me on a fun hunt during the time that Umbranoids roamed Entropia. We teamed up and went after the low/mid-level Umbranoids, allowing us to chill, kill, and have fun. We had been hunting for over 3 hours and not a single loot to note outside a few tiny globals. Some time later that hunt, my society mate tells me hes going afk for a short bit for Bio and stretch. I decided to continue killing, because why not? Just as he returned, I was criticaled when I neglected to heal. Very noob move that happens a lot. As I am reviving, he finished off the mob. At the revive, since i was only around 600-700m away, i decided to run back instead of teleport. on my to him, there were 2 Umbranoids in the way. I killed the first one quick since he was of a lower maturity. The second one, an Umbranoid Patron started to whip me like they did in the past. I proceeded to waste him too, however this is when things got fun. Back then we used a voice chat called Ventrilo (yes im that old, bite me), and didnt normally have team chat open when hunting while in voice. I had the loot window open tucked down in the corner like always. Upon looting the Patron, I got a 2042 ped Hall of Fame. I was suprised but didnt think to much on it. In the Loot window was a alot of items all bunch together and sitting beind the animal oil was a FAP. I assumed it was the common Fap 5 or Fap 15 which dropped a dime a dozen on Umbranoids at that time. I continued to run back to my teammate and all i hear in Voice chat was my teammate going nuts. Now im really confused. He just told me to look at ur f*** loot. So i drag the loot window up from the corner of the screen and started hovering over different items to see their names. when i got to the fap, I saw Omegaton Fast Aid Pack, Improved pop up. I freaked out my college dorm roommate as I just screamed and fell off my chair (quite literally, fell backwards breaking my wooden chair). At that time Improved FAPS ran around 110k-125k, depending on who bought it. The experience was something to remember. I later sold it for nice gun, full Tiger M, and ped (some of which was withdrawn to buy me an awesome gaming chair and sound system (Logitech z5500 5.1 surround sound system). yes, prioritys i know.
And that was how entropia ruined me and no loot was ever the same again.
