MindArk PE AB are the original creators of Project Entropia and the long-standing platform owners behind Entropia Universe. Since the early 2000s, MindArk has overseen the technological, economic, and structural foundation of the wider universe.
Beyond operating the platform itself, MindArk directly created and managed multiple worlds, space environments, experimental systems, and some of the most historically significant locations within Entropia Universe history.
Originally launched as Project Entropia, the platform later evolved into Entropia Universe and introduced one of the earliest large-scale real cash economy virtual worlds. MindArk developed the core systems powering the economy, item ownership, land management, and avatar persistence across the wider universe.
Throughout multiple generations of development, MindArk remained responsible for the platform infrastructure, core gameplay systems, interplanetary travel mechanics, and several iconic locations remembered across the history of Entropia Universe.
MindArk directly operated several major planets, environments, and experimental regions across the universe. These locations became central parts of Entropia history and hosted some of the platform’s most memorable events, economies, and communities.
MindArk later acquired Rocktropia from NEVERDIE Studios, bringing the planet and its surrounding regions directly under MindArk operation as part of the wider Entropia Universe platform ecosystem.
MindArk helped pioneer the concept of a persistent online virtual universe with a real economy attached directly to gameplay systems. Their platform combined MMORPG mechanics, trading, land ownership, crafting, mining, and interplanetary expansion into a single connected universe.
Over the years, countless community events, discoveries, economic milestones, and legendary moments originated from MindArk-controlled environments, leaving a lasting cultural footprint within Entropia Universe history.
