New Features

Umbranoids: Limnadian Faction

The Umbranoid threat continues to grow. New, more dangerous variants have emerged, armed with ranged weapons. Colonists venturing into the affected areas will find new missions and Codex entries to pursue, new ranged weapons, and formidable boss creatures. Dynamic events add an unpredictable element to the ongoing conflict.

New Lab Content

A new RDI Lab has been discovered near Fort Lahar, designed for lower-level avatars. It offers the same style of engaging gameplay found in the other RDI Labs, providing a natural next step for newer colonists as they progress through Calypso. The instance is for solo players only, speak to Corporal Krill to get started.

Entropia Rewind

A new proprietary in-game capture system that lets you record, edit, and share gameplay moments without ever leaving the client.

How it works:

Capture the last 30 seconds of gameplay with a single keypress, including video, audio, and UI overlay

Save clips locally or upload directly to YouTube

Built-in editing:

Trim and splice footage, browse our full SoundCloud soundtrack library, apply transitions and templates, add text and emojis — everything you need, built right in

Invite integration:

Entropia Rewind combines invite codes with the Recruit a Colonist system, letting you embed your referral link directly into shared clips

Entropia Rewind is disabled by default. Enable it in Settings when you're ready.

Recruit a Colonist

A new system that lets you invite friends to Entropia Universe and earn rewards as they progress.

How it works:

Every colonist receives a unique invite code, accessible from the new Recruit a Colonist window in the game client

Share your personalized invite link with friends - when they create an account through it, they're linked to you as their recruiter

Optionally set a custom vanity code for a more memorable link

Rewards for recruited colonists:

Upon reaching Trained status, recruited colonists receive a 25% skill gain bonus for 7 days

Rewards for recruiters:

When your recruited friend reaches Trained status, you receive a 10% skill gain bonus for 24 hours

Skill-based rewards based on total number of trained recruits

PED payouts across 5 tiers, based on your recruit's cumulative deposits and in-game activity. Claim rewards per friend as they reach each milestone

All rewards are tracked and claimed from the Recruit a Colonist window, which shows each recruit's status and progress.

Changes

The Client Loader has received an overhaul bringing it to a modern standard

Immersive quest givers are now able to be negotiated with

The immersive quest givers decide for themselves how and if they want to negotiate

Easter Mayhem

Fort Lahar area has received an update

Mining Rebalance: Planet & Space

Planet mining and space mining have been rebalanced to complement each other rather than compete for the same markets. Planet mining now focuses more on planet-side resources and crafting chains, while space mining is geared toward space-specific materials and applications.

There is still overlap between the two - some resources are needed across both domains - but each now has a clearer identity and purpose.

Additionally, new and more powerful space mining lasers have been added, along with a range of new laser attachments including damage amplifiers, decay absorbers, and more. Blueprints for the new equipment are available through loot drops and the vendor at Howling Mine.
