In our last Dev Blog, we talked about the In-Game Video Capture system we have been working on, which has now become Entropia Rewind.
Some of the best moments in Entropia Universe happen without warning: a surprise global, a rare loot, a last-second PvP escape. Too often, those moments are lost because recording wasn’t turned on.
Capturing highlights should feel as natural as playing the game itself. That’s why we’re introducing a new in-client video recording system with continuous background recording. The client always keeps the last 30 seconds ready, so when something epic happens, you can just click and save it - no third-party tools, no setup.
You also have control over how their moments are recorded. In the configuration panel, you can adjust recording quality depending on your setup, and choose which in-game events should be saved automatically, and of course - if you do not want continuous recording on.
Once a moment is captured, you can jump straight into a built-in editing experience. Trim clips on a simple timeline, add text, emojis, transitions, and effects — all without leaving the game.
When the clip is ready, sharing is just as straightforward. You can export and upload videos directly to platforms like YouTube Shorts, with more integrations coming soon. From capture to edit to share, everything happens in one place - this is Entropia Rewind. We look forward to players using this new system in our upcoming release.
