NPC Updates

Many previously static or limited-moving NPCs are now Immersive NPCs.

Immersive NPCs now understand more about their immediate surroundings, including nearby players, their own apparel, time of day, and other contextual details.

Select creatures have been upgraded to function as Immersive NPCs or Mission Brokers.

All Immersive NPC internal models have been updated to more reliable and faster systems.

Several new NPCs have been added across Calypso.

NPCs and Mission Brokers can now spawn dynamically in multiple locations throughout the universe and offer context-specific missions while active in the world.

Voting System

Players can now directly shape what comes next. Through developer-run polls, the community can vote on future priorities, which areas to focus on, and key implementation or design choices. Whether it is major roadmap decisions or smaller quality-of-life improvements, your voice helps guide our direction and ensures we build what matters most to you.

Newcomer missions

The newcomer missions on Calypso have been revamped from the ground up, with smoother flow, better guidance, and a more rewarding early experience. On top of the improvements, several brand-new missions have been added to give fresh arrivals even more to discover right from the start.

Port Atlantis

The city has undergone a major remake to its location, layout, and overall look, with stronger fortifications taking center stage. The goal was to turn it into a true hub, and the result is a cleaner, more readable city that is far easier to navigate and explore.

When players depart Setesh, this is their next landing point. From here, they can continue into the surrounding mission chains.

Camp Icarus

The area has been significantly rebuilt in both layout and visuals to better match its identity as a fortified outpost, while still staying closely tied to the newcomer experience

Mayhem

A fresh selection of new Buffing Mindforce Chips can be looted from the Merry Mayhem mobs

Blueprints (L) for the Caustic, Cryoblight, Frostbite and Neuroshock Chips have been added to the Mayhem Vendor

For additional information regarding Merry Mayhem event see announcement at: Merry Mayhem 2025

The new Christmas Strongbox item will be announced at the start of Merry Mayhem

Misc.

A new mission is available in Port Cabrakan, that leads to an Adjusted version of the SET-P1 Civilian Sidearm

Most Pills are now auctionable

The teleporter at Club Neverdie on Secret Island can now be accessed from other planets, for a teleportation token fee

ND-Asteroids now have a Codex Challenge

Event System changes: Prices are reduced to 10 PED base cost and 2 PED per hour, and max time has been extended to 8 hours

Fixes

Fix to stabilize Immersive NPCs / Missionbroker servers

Fixed a bug that caused certain items to get 0% efficiency when they shouldn’t have (ex. the Cryoblight chips)

Fixed a bug with the Mining Laser Effect’s text (Cracking) that prevented the percentage from showing in the description

Fixes to the shader compilation cache system and improved shader compilation speed resulting in a more stable experience when starting the game and faster loading times

Immersive NPCs memories will be reset due to big changes in how the memories work

ARIS

New features

The mining spawners for ores have been completely revamped, covering larger areas and with a more logical layout based on the layout of the land. There is also much more focus on ARIS-specific ores than before

With the mining changes, the old mining missions have been replaced with new ones. You can still finish the old ones while you have them active, but you will only receive the new ones from now on

Elara Vox, the new colleague of Orson Cipher in Ironhaven is in need of some assistance with the sound issues they have been experiencing

Daniam and Onu, over by the large beach north west of Ironhaven, have been tinkering away at their next invention, but they have hit a snag. They probably need a bit of help as well

Changes

The mobs in the Maintenance Tunnels are now shared loot

Further flattened the Malcruentor spawn east of the Elevex Station to make it easier to hunt

Reduced the general robot resources in the daily bosses loot

Added collision to the ARIS planet in space

Disallowed mining in the Bovine caves

Fixes

The texture for the Hyperion Arm Guards, Perfected should now be working as intended

The Oblivion Protocol weapons have been updated with the correct textures

Known Issues
